Alex Thompson is the Chief Manager and Treasurer of Summit Asset Management LLC.  He was with the Equitable Life Insurance Company where he specialized in retirement and estate planning from 1973 until 1999.

A graduate of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, Alex holds the Chartered Financial Consultant and Chartered Life Underwriter designations.

Alex is a second generation financial advisor serving Memphis.  He is married to wife, Frances, and they have three sons, Alex (A), Norfleet and Treadwell (Tread), two of whom also went to Vanderbilt (two out of three isn’t bad!).  They are members of Second Presbyterian Church where Alex is an elder.
